What causes poor air quality
What Causes Poor Indoor Air Quality?
Many homeowners assume dust is the only concern, but numerous factors can affect the air inside your home. Modern homes are often tightly sealed for energy efficiency, which can trap pollutants indoors and reduce natural ventilation.
Common Sources of Indoor Air Pollution Include:
Allergens
Pollen, pet dander, dust mites, and other allergens can circulate through your HVAC system and trigger allergy symptoms.
Bacteria, Mold, and Germs
Microorganisms can thrive in damp environments and spread throughout your home's air supply.
Household Chemicals
Cleaning products, paints, solvents, and other common household products can release airborne contaminants known as volatile organic compounds (VOCs).
Humidity Imbalances
Both excessive humidity and overly dry air can create comfort issues and negatively impact indoor air quality.
Household Odors
Cooking smells, pet odors, smoke, and other airborne particles can become trapped inside your home.
Ozone and Airborne Pollutants
Certain indoor and outdoor pollutants can contribute to unhealthy air conditions.
Stale Air
Without proper ventilation, indoor air can become stagnant, causing contaminants to accumulate over time.

“We had a great experience with this company. On Sunday night we heard a thumping in our air handler, up in the attic. Not good. We called Monday morning and they had a tech out to us by the afternoon. We needed a new blower motor, which was completed by Tuesday evening. Great service and a friendly staff, added to our positive experience. We will be calling to sign up for a maintenance plan as well. Thanks to Marc, who did the work. Great job guys. — Dan and Erin T.”
